This is a request for information (RFI) only. This synopsis is for planning purposes and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals or Request for Quotes. Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI), also known by its trade name UNICOR, is conducting market research to locate sources of supply for the components of Electronic System Tool Kits (NSN 5180-01-460-9328, TK-105 A/G). This will include approximately 100+ commercial hand tools, both electrical and manual. These tools must be GSA SCIT Program compliant or equivalent to achieve manufacture of Tool Kits that reflects lifetime/best warranty tools. This lifetime warranty dictates replacement of any tool that does not perform in accordance with its intended purpose. NOTE: This will be an "ALL OR NONE" request. UNICOR is requesting the following information from interested sources: 1.) Pricing, including discounts available for purchasing in bulk; 2.) Product descriptions and specifications; 3.) Shipping arrangements, including shipping time and costs; 4.) Warranty terms and conditions. A Bureau of Prisons team consisting of purchasing, quality control and production will evaluate information collected. to ensure that well-defined requirements are established early in the acquisition period for accurate planning purposes.
