Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items will be utilized in this combined synopsis/solicitation. It is the Governments intent to make a sole source award to ORION Electronics,Limited, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, A JUSTIFICATION for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been certified,justified and approved. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DEA-99-R-0044:award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the FAR Circular 97-04. The standard industrial classification code(SIC) is 3669,and the small business size is 500. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is seeking to procure thefollowing line items:Line Item 0001: Tracking-GPS/Cellular with switching,paging, with powersaving capability and simultaneous audio; QUANTITY:Twenty(20); Line Item 0002: Rechargeable Lithium Battery Packs; QUANTITY:Twenty-four(24).
