The Air Force Research Laboratory, Directorate of Contracting, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is seeking potential sources to provide a basic Scanning Laser Vibrometer system to include the following specifications: <= 1 mW visible laser output (class 2), 20 KHz bandwidth, calibrated (certified) velocity resolution of .1 micrometer/second/root Hz, upper velocity limit of 1.25 m/s (zero at peak) across entire bandwidth, Real time dropout correction, Digital camera zoom, 2 channel 1600 line FFT, Zoom FFT, Motorized tripod, +-20 degree scan angle both horizontal and vertical, Real time video, and 100 uninterrupted points per second scanning capability. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The program office, AFRL/VSDV, anticipates the acquisition of commercial items in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as supplemented. The objective of this effort will be the delivery of one complete Basic Scanning Laser Vibrometer system. The only known source is Polytec PI, however, an equal source/product will be considered. Firms responding must submit technical/functional documentation (i.e. technical/functional literature, brochures etc.) for the Scanning Laser Vibrometer System. The technical/functional documentation shall provide sufficient technical/functional data in order for the project office to determine whether the product meets the required form, fit, function requirements. Potential offerors must be able to successfully demonstrate the capability to deliver this Scanning Laser Vibrometer system in the required quantity and delivery time of eight weeks after receipt of award to Kirtland AFB, NM 87117-5606. Note: Packaging is standard commercial packaging for laboratory equipment. In addition, firms responding should indicate if they are a Small Business, an 8 (a) qualified business, or Woman-owned Business. For the purposes of being considered a small business the following applies: SIC Code 5049, Size Standard: 100 employees. The Government reserves the right to set any subsequent acquisition aside for Small Business, SBA 8(a) Program, Small Disadvantaged Business, Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCU) or Minority Institutions (MI) based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis.
