The Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center is soliciting interested bidders for the purchase and installation of various trees to be installed and maintained for one year at the site. The range of this project is between 25- 100,000 dollars. The standard industrial classification for this project is: 0181 and is 100% set-aside for small business with preference for certified Hub Zone businesses. This is a combined synopisis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6 as suplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation NR DAHA2099T9150 is issued under request for quotation proceedures. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 97-11. The following is a list of items required: Line item 1: 30Each White Pine, minimum 8' tall Line item 2: 70Each Austrian Pine, minimum 9' tall Line item 3: 25Each Amber Maple Line item 4: 50Each Red Maple Line item 5: 25Each Green Ash Line item 6: 25Each Little Leaf Linden NOTE: All trees provided will be 1 1/2" to 2" base (caliper) and each tree will be properly balled and roots shall be properly wrapped to protect root system. Label each tree with securely attached, waterproofed tag bearing legible designation of botanical and common name. Project specifications No TDVG9900834 and planting schedule will be available to the awarded bidder. WARRANTY: The contractor shall warrant work on this project against deffects for a period of one year from date of final acceptance of work. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: The government will retain 15% of the total amount of the contract for maintenance and warranty. the contractor will be paid half of this 15% at the mid-term of the warranty period. The provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Itgems applies. EVALUATION FACTORS: Award of this solicitation is based on warranty of trees and overall cost. Successful offeror must complete a copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items prior to award which is available from our office. The following clauses are in effect and apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions, 52.212-5 Contract terms and conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders and DFAR 252.212-7001 Contract terms and conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders applicable to Defense Acquisitions of commercial items.
