This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). ITEM No. 1 Six(6)Remote Controlled industrial monitors for fire protection, with SM-100BHP automatic nozzle flows up to 1000 gpm, material corrosion-resistant brass construction, hydraulic driven actuators for horizontal and vertical movement actuators must have built-in hydraulic flow controlling adjustable needle valves, vertical actuators must allow movement of 150 deg (90 deg above to 69 deg below horizontal), horizontal actuator must have rotation of 180 deg, ball bearing movement with grease fitting, spour gears must have safety covers, Standard 4.0" X 150# ansi flange base, Elkhart Brass Mfg. Co. Inc P/N 294-11XBHC meets these specs. ITEM No. 2 Six(6)valve box/hydraulic source, contains three 4-way solenoid activated hydraulic valves, hydraulic pump/motor/tank unit, box will have terminal strips for electrical hook up, all hydraulic connections .375-OD tube fittings, hydraulic pump/motor/tank unit will be a 24 vdc motor, gear pump with built-in check valve, relief valve and pressure gage, a 46 cu.in. reservoir with removable stainless steel filter, furnished in a nema 4x stainless steel box for unclassified areas, Elkhart Brass Mfg Co. Inc P/N 81200 meets these specs. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3569 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to Marshall Space Flight Center is required within 60 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by September 3, 1999 and may be mailed or faxed to Betty C.
