install and test 2 Flowtronex PSI, Model FPX-VWTX, or equal,
prefabricated variable speed controllers, f.o.b. destination, to
retrofit 2 existing separate irrigation pump stations that include one
10 HP, one 20 HP and six 75 HP pumps located at the Riverside National
Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518. Installation
includes inspection of existing pumps and motors, replacement of
electrical wiring to control panels and motors, installing flow sensors
and interfacing signal outputs with existing radio transmitters.
Contractor is to provide start-up supervision, station calibration and
operator training. The system shall automatically maintain a constant
discharge pressure regardless of varying flow demands within the
station rating. Upon award, the manufacturer shall provide 1 complete
set of general arrangement drawings, electrical power schematics, and
control schematics in the operations and service manual. This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Facsimile quotes are accepted. This solicitation is issued as
Request for Quotations (RFQ) 786-126-99. This is a 100% set-aside for
small business concerns. Standard industrial classification code (SIC)
3625 with a small business size standard of 750 employees is
applicable. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote,
along with descriptive literature of the item offered. Quotes are due
on August 20, 1999, 6:00 p.m., local time at the NCA Operations
Support Center, Centralized Contracting Division, 5101 Russell Road,
Quantico, VA 22134. The solicitation document and incorporated
