Lanier, (925) 422-6416 Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL),
operated by the University of California under contract with the U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking one or more industrial partners
to commercialize computer software that is of potential biological and
medical educational value. This software, now in the final stages of
development, focuses on the nervous system. It is designed to permit
the user to visualize physiologically the likeliest locations of
exposed (or affected) zones (or areas) associated with specific to
generalized neurotropic disease symptoms. Included in this sofware is
a detailed atlas, and algorithms that employ expert medical knowledge.
The software is configured to be useful for both introductory and
advanced levels of biomedical education, including continuing medical
education. Additionally, it can be employed in independent-study
environments. The software may also be suitable as a tool for
performing medical, criminal, and/or environmental investigations of
poisonings suspected to be a result of exposure to neurologically
damaging chemical substances. This is not a procurement. To ensure
