Martin Luther King Dr. Cincinnati, OH 45268 Procurement Abstract The USEPA Technology Transfer Program is soliciting technical assistance for EPA's preparation of a risk management evaluation (RME) of arsenic in drinking water. The focus of this procurement is to review EPA's draft RME and to compare what is known with what is not known in order to be able to identify data gaps in risk management research and development. This review must include a clear and expansive presentation of the unresolved and unaddressed issues relating to the current activities underway in the Office of Water regulatory process as they prepare a new MCL for arsenic in drinking water. These issues include, but are not limited to, an assessment of the needs of the regulated community in order to comply with the regulation and the cost and effectiveness of risk management options. The contractor will have access to reports, meeting minutes, results of past activities, and details of future meetings and activities so (s)he can make a clear and informed presentation of issues. The completed RME document will represent a review of the current state of the science of risk management of arsenic in drinking water providing a foundation for evaluating approaches to and identifying needs for managing risks to human health associated with exposure to arsenic in drinking water.
