This is a Sources Sought Notice. The Naval Air Station, Meridian, MS,
reporting to the Chief of Naval Education and Training (CNET) is
conducting a Commercial Activities (C/A) "10 and Under Study" for the
Child Development Program (CDP), consisting of the Child Development
Center (CDC) and Family Child Care (FCC). The work encompasses
providing all necessary personnel, supervision, management, equipment,
materials, and services to manage and operate a complete CDP. Child
care shall be provided for full-day care for each age group (Ages 1 --
5 years). The CDP shall be operated within the Military Child Care Act
of 1989 and the Program Standards in accordance with OPNAV 1700.9
(Series). Workload and draft performance work statement being generated
will be used in the cost comparison and are expected to be available
approximately 01 September. Once available, this Contracting Office,
FISC NORVA, Detachment Philadelphia, may forward these to interested
sources who wish to submit price estimations for consideration in the
cost comparison. The decision to retain in-house or to outsource will
be made on the basis of information submitted by interested parties as
well as that gathered from other sources. In the event it is found to
be advantageous for the Navy to outsource the work described above,
formal solicitations will be issued to the interested firms who respond
to this sources sought synopsis. The work studied is performed by 10-15
civilian employees including non-appropriated fund employees. Any
companies interested in submitting literature on their capabilities and
or price estimates for use in the cost comparison should provide
company name, address and point of contact to the address shown above
