There will be no separate written Request for Quotation issued. This procurement is being conducted for commercial item/services under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with FAR 13.5. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE. Responses are due 15 days after publication. Naval Air Station Pensacola intends to award a purchase order for hydrostatic testing and maintenance on QTY 118 EACH halon flightline fire extinguishers to comply with NFPA 10 standards. Fire extinguishers are Amerex model 150-pound wheeled extinguishers. Extinguisers will be emptied before contractor works on them. Government will refill with halon. Standards of maintenance are contained in Amerex Owners Service Manual No. 05606A; National Fire Protection Association NFPA-10 "Portable Fire Extinguishers"; Compressed Gas Association CGA-C-1 "Methods for Hydrostatic Testing of Compressed Gas Cylinders"; and CGA-C-6 "Standard for Visual Inspection of Compressed Gas Cylinders." This is a six-year maintenance check. Prices FOB destination. This procurement is setaside for small business. The applicable SIC is 7389 with $5 mill as size standard. Maintenance shall be performed 10 days after receipt of order.
