The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), Office of Job Corps is soliciting proposals to select a contractor to provide support services to male students terminating from the Job Corps program. The contractor must have the following capabilities: an existing, stable, dependable force of trained volunteer workers nationwide, in all states, both rural and urban; and exiting comprehensive national network of service providers who are available nationally, in all states, both rural and urban on a 24-hours basis, every day, with capability for immediate direct service delivery and immediate response to requests for emergency help in any area of the country; and an existing survey data collection system to provide placement verification and follow-up activities. The period of performance for the prospective award will be 12 months from the date of contract execution plus four 1-year options at the government's discretion. This requirement is being let under full and open competition. The SIC code is 8744 and the size standard is $5 million. Offerors please be advised that DOL/ETA seeks to place a fair portion of its contract dollars with small, small disadvantaged (SDB), and women-owned small business concerns as defined in FAR 52.219-8. For this procurement the Contracting Officer has made an assessment that 20% of the total dollar value of the contract be subcontracted to small, small disadvantaged and women-owned businesses.
