INTENT TO NEGOTIATE/RENEW A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER See Note 22. USDA's Food and Nutrition Service intends to negotiate a Sole Source Purchase Order with Sterling Software to provide software maintenance on VM:Manager without VM:Migrate with the High Speed Disaster Recovery Option and the VM:Spool Extension for the period 10/01/99 through 09/30/00. Maintenance is subject to the existing Term MIPS license agreement. This award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation is available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
