beschels@bop.gov This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(II)The solicitation number is 117-0568 and the solicitation is issued
as a Request for Quotation. (III)The soliciations document and
incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through FAC
97-13. (IV)The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The
Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4111. The size standard is
$5.0 million. (V)Item 1: Provide transportation to released inmates
housed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan Michigan to
(a)the bus station, Ann Arbor, Michigan or (b) the student union,
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. 310 sessions per fiscal
year. A session consists of a two (2) hour period. (VI)Services will be
provided between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. est. Receiving
& Discharge staff shall contact the vendor 24 hours in advance of
service requested. The vendor shall provide reliable transportation for
the service. The vendor shall check in with the front lobby officer,
who will notify receiving & discharge staff. The vendor shall provide
copies of current certificate of insurance for the vehicles and current
valid chauffer's license for all the drivers. The vendor will come into
contact with convicted felons and will conduct themselves in an
appropriate manner at all times. The contractor will report any
infractions of the rules and regulations to the receiving & discharge
staff immediately. The contractor agrees to adhere to all regulations
prescribed by the institution for safety, custody, and conduct of
inmates. All contract staff shall attend an orientation program prior
to assuming the duties. Reimbursement is authorized for time spent in
orientation classes or other security related training. Reimbursement
will be the contract rate prorated hourly. (VII)Dates & times of
service will vary, contractor will be notified 24 hours in advance of
service. (VIII)Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors --

lowest, responsible bidder. (X)Offerors must include a completed copy
of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations & Certifications --
