Y -- FIRE STATION, MCALESTER ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT, MCALESTER, OKLAHOMA SOL DACA56-99-B-0043 DUE 100799 POC Susan Killgore, Contracting Division, 918-669-7136; Frank Ostrowski, Technical contact, 918-669-7317 Construct new single story 1,142 square meter 4 bay fire station consisting of apparatus bays, sleeping room, exercise room, recreation room, kitchen and dining room, day room, showers, mechanical room, storage room restrooms and two "safe areas" for use during natural disasters. Foundation will be slab on grade for the apparatus area and the remainder reinforced rib mat slab. The structure consists of load bearing CMU walls. The exterior walls are CMU with split face. Interior walls are a mixture of masonry units and drywall. Ceilings are lay in acoustical panels, gypsum board and concrete slab for "safe rooms". Roof is of steel frame construction. Roof deck is of steel with finish roofing of standing-seem-look metal panels. HVAC will consist of 2 separate split-system gas furnace and DX cooling systems with gas-fired unit heaters used in the apparatus bay. Supporting facilities include electrical service, 15-300 KW standby diesel generator, 18.3m communications tower, fire protection system, paving, walks, curb and gutters, parking, storm drainage, sanitary sewer and landscaping. Estimated cost range of this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about September 7, 1999, and will be provided on Compact Disks (CD-ROMS). IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
