This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603 and FAR 13.5, as summplemented with additional information. This requirement if awarded after receipt of price quotes, will be for the acquisition of Model MT3000 "or equivalent" Traveling Wave Tube Medium Power, KU Band, 400W Amplifier. Offerors must provide detailed descriptive manufacturer's literature/specifications with quote if quote is based on "or equivalent" model Amplifier. All quoted prices should be inclusive of any applicable taxes, and shipping costs. Offers will be evaluated against the following criteria: 1) is proposed Amplifier equivalent and/or equal in specification of Model MT3000. 2) can offeror meet mandatory delivery date of 30 days (ARO) as supported by past performance: NOTE: Offerors should provide at least three references with telephone numbers and points of contact so that the Government can evaluate offeror's past performance on satisfactorily meeting crucial delivery dates. Delivery must be completed within thirty (30) days after receipt of order. 3) lowest overall cost to the Government that satisfy the specifications. This announement constitutes the only request for quote; quotes are being requested and a written Request for Quotation will not be issued. The request for quotation number is EME-1999-RQ-0096. The RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-13. This procurement is a small business set-aside. The applicable SIC Code is 5065 with a small business size standard of 100 employees. It is anticipated that if award is made, a firm-fixed price order will be issued. Item is to be quoted FOB destination.
