The purpose is to answer questions received and extend the due date for receipt of offers. The due date is extended to 07 Sep 99 by 1:00 P.M. EST. No additional questions will be entertained. The following is a list of questions with answers: 1) CLIN 0002, 0013, 0014 -- Does that actually mean fiber optic network card? Or is it a 'generic' name for a 10/100 Ethernet card? The type of card or equivalent we need is the Allied Telesyn AT-2450FT 10base/100 FL or equivalent. 2) CLIN 0003 -- Is the automatic switchbox for 4 PC's sharing 1 printer or 1 PC sharing 4 printers? Multiple PCs using a single printer. 3) CLIN 0003 -- Automatic switchbox w/min 4 ports & 2MB buffer: BE MORE SPECIFIC. Switch Box is a DALCO Parallel Smart Switch Box with 2MB buffered memory and comes with a DC power adapter or equivalent. 4)CLIN 0004 -- Do you want single-ended or differential? Would you like LCD display or not? Differential. As far as LCD, it does not matter. 5) CLIN 0006 -- Which platform? Windows NT 4.0. 6) CLIN 0008 -- What kind of system are you installing the software? Also how many users? Windows NT 4.0, 1 user. 7) CLIN0009 -- Lexmark OptraColor Printer. The only model available is OptraColor 45. Also this item calls for a Fiber card and Lexmark does not have this type of connection available for their printers. The printer does not have to be a Lexmark, however, must be equivalent to HP Web JetAdmin Network Peripheral #C4089A. 8) CLIN 0011 -- Please specify model and make or scan size and software required. The Contex Color Scanner FSC 5010 or equivalent. 9) CLIN0013 and CLIN0014 -- each of these computers call for a motherboard with 1MB cache. Could you let us know which motherboard will meet this requirement? Or is the 1MB cache necessary? A single motherboard w/512MB cache. 10) CLIN 0014 -- Standard Workstation to includeUninterrupted Power supply -- Is one UPS required per workstation, or is one larger capacity UPS to support 38 workstations?
