This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). One each (1) Tunable Diode Laser in accordance with the following specifications: Tuning range 1500 -- 1570 nanometers, minimum power 1 milliwatt; tuning speed 25 nm/s minimum; must be fiber coupled with FC/APC connection; must be GPIB controllable tuning; be mode-hop free over the entire range; ruggedized and capable of mode-hop free tuning after a 100G shock load and have tuning repeatability of 50 picometers. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-13.
