The US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM-Warren) will negotiate on a sole source basis with Southwest Research Institute of San Antonio, TX for this effort. The Army plans to continue performance of an ongoing work directive under Contract DAAE07-95-C-R081 to simulate various technical paths toward improving the efficiency and reducing the emissions of natural gas engines. TACOM plans to issue a supplemental agreement modification to the existing cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to add 3,700 hours for approximately $300,000. No solicitation will be issued.
