The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity, Aurora, CO, intends to issue a solicitation for the Health Care Technology Assessment Services from vendors who offer technology assessments evaluating new emerging health care technologies, to include medical devices focusing on the technology's safety, effectiveness and health benefits. The assessments at a minimum must include an analysis of available scientific literature, published medical literature, and expert medical opinion, and opinions of practicing medical and specialty societies. The proposed contract will be for a Base period of 12 months with four one-year option periods. The Government does intend to procure these services using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 for this acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered for award. All requests for solicitation MDA906-00-R-0002 must be in writing. The RFP will only be sent to those firms which request it in writing and those contractors who have previously submitted proposals. Telephone requests will not be honored.
