This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Solicitation MDA94699T0593 is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for hotel and conference facilities for the International Industrial Security Conference during the summer of 2000 in Tampa, Florida. (iii) This Solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Volume 64, No. 116, dated 17 June 1999. (iv) The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 7041, the corresponding size standard is $5.0 million. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program does not cover this procurement. (v) & (vi) DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Office of the Deputy to the Under Secretary of Defense (ODTUSD(P)PS/ISP hosts an International Industrial Security Conference every other year. Tampa, Florida has been chosen as the site for this year's conference. The conference will be held from Monday, June 12, 2000 through Friday, June 16, 2000. Using a combination of plenary sessions and workshops, participants will exchange views, policies and procedures regarding the conference topic. This is a working conference and requires sleeping rooms as well as conference and banquet facilities. SUPPLIERS REQUIREMENTS: General -- (a) Hotel must be able to provide transportation, if required, for individual conference participants to and from respective airports. (b) Hotel must be full service and offer the following amenities and services: 24 hour room service, non smoking rooms, complimentary parking, valet parking, facilities for disabled individuals, conference/banquet facilities and business service center. (c) All rooms must be available at Government per diem rates. (vii) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point: See Item number (v) for dates/performance period. (viii) The following provision applies to this acquisition: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1 entitled Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial.
