This project involves the replacement of shower pans, toilet room doors and hardware, repair of door frames, installation of new ceilings, new lighting, new radiator covers and window panel, new GFCI electrical receptacles, new vanity cabinets, and new PVC wall liner in toilet rooms at the Westover Job Corps Center located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The project will be phased to allow for continued occupied use of the buildings during construction. The period of performance for completion of work is 300 calendar days, with substantial completion to be achieved within 240 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated cost range of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Initial Plans and Specifications will be available on September 13, 1999, only from the Architect/Engineer firm of Barnhart Johnson Francis & Wild, Incorporated, 31 Ensign Drive, Avon, Connecticut 06601. Any additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid and COD request will not be accepted. Requests must be in writing and will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the supply is exhausted. For additional sets requested from interested parties, or for requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents, plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for September 30, 1999, at 9:00 a.m. (local) at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids.
