The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract modification with Lockheed Martin Federal Systems Owego Company (LMFS) to configure two government-furnished SH-60B aircraft to SH-60R configuration. LMFS is currently under contract with the Navy to develop the SH-60R helicopter and to provide two prototype and two test article SH-60R aircraft to the Navy. Because LMFS is the current developer and integrator of all SH-60R functionality, they are the only source capable of providing these two additional test article aircraft. See Note 22.
