The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under the Simplified Acquisition procedures for services of a contractor for the servicing of Secretary-held Home Equity Conversion Loans. This will be an UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESSES. All offerors MUST be a FHA approved Mortgage/Lenders as stated in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 24, Part 203 "Approval of Lending Institutions and Mortgagees." A transitional period not to exceed thirty days may be required for a new contractor for the purpose of receiving loan files/documents and establishing the financial data in the contractors automated system's database.
