for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6, as a supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The
solicitation number is DAKF24-99-B-0025 and is issued as an invitation
for bid (IFB). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
97-04. This is 100% Small Business Set Aside, requirement; Simplified
Acquisition Procedures will be utilized. The SIC Code is 7359 and the
Business Size is $5M. SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES. ITEM#1: The
Contractor shall provide 32 -- 100 kw heaters with its associated power
generation; The electric heaters should be able to heat large tents.
Installation and tear down are included. The Government will provide
fuel for generators -- the generators will be JP8 compatible. ITEM #2.
Delivery of 32 electric heaters with associated power generation on 1
NOV 99 and ITEM #3. Pick up or removal cost of 32 electric heaters on
23 NOV 99. The vendor who receives this award will provide the lease
or rental of 32 electric heaters from a contract period of 1 through 23
NOV 99. Delivery of equipments will be in Fort Polk, LA and will be
coordinated with a point of contact for specific delivery locations.
The Contractor shall provide and perform all work incidental to
maintaining the 32 electric heaters and its associated components in
designated areas. The Contractor shall provide all work incidental to
the removal/reinstallation of equipment throughout the performance of
the contract. The Contractor, at his/her expense, shall keep all
equipment under this contract in proper mechanical working order. The
Contractor shall repair and replace any machine within two(2) days
after he receives notification that a machine is inoperable. Offers
will be submitted on bidders' letterhead stationary in accordance with
provision 52.212-1 and shall include unit and total prices for each
Item #s above. Award will be made on a SF 1449
Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items. The factors use to
evaluate offers will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid,
conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the
Government, considering only price and price-related factors. Offerors
shall include a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, 252.212-7000.
