15 -- PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE FOR VTUAV FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION POC Contact, Mr. Dan Gentry, Phone (301) 757-5897 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and PMA-263 will hold a Pre-Proposal Conference at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD for the purpose of allowing an exchange of information between NAVAIR/PMA-263 and potential offerors for the Vertical Take Off and Landing Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTUAV) full and open competition. The VTUAV Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on 8 September 1999 from 0900 to 1500. The location for the VTUAV Pre-Proposal Conference is the Executive Conference Center on the base at NAS Patuxent River. Conference attendees must visit the Base Pass Office at Gate 2 of NAS Patuxent River in order to gain admittance to the base. In order to facilitate this process, offerors are requested to provide the name, social security number, date of birth, place of birth, and title for each of their conference attendees via e-mail to Mr. Dan Gentry no later than 2 September 1999. Please include the name and phone number of a point of contact from your company in the e-mail. Attendees are limited to five per offeror. Mr. Gentry's e-mail address is as follows: gentrywd@navair.navy.mil In addition to attendee information, offerors are requested to include their questions on the VTUAV RFP in the e-mail so that comprehensive answers to these questions may be given at the VTUAV Pre-Proposal Conference. Offerors may call Mr. Gentry at (301) 757-5897 in order to verify that their e-mail messages have been received. Those conference attendees who are both United States citizens and who are representing a business incorporated in the United States may proceed directly to the Executive Conference Center once they have obtained passes from the Base Pass Office. Once conference attendees have passed through Gate 2, they will be on Cedar Point Road. Conference attendees will proceed down Cedar Point Road to the first stop light. Conference attendees will turn right at this stoplight onto Buse Road and proceed approximately one third of a mile until they see the sign for the Patuxent Landing Restaurant on the left. Conference attendees will make a left turn onto the road immediately beside the Patuxent Landing Restaurant and then make a right turn into the parking lot behind the restaurant. The Executive Conference Center (Building 467) is located between the Patuxent Landing Restaurant and the Marine Security Force Headquarters (Building 468). The main entrance to the Executive Conference Center faces the Marine Security Force Headquarters. Conference attendees are not permitted to park in the Patuxent Landing Restaurant Parking lot on the right side of Buse Road as these spaces are reserved for restaurant customers. Questions on these directions may be referred to Mr. Gentry at (301) 757-5897. Those conference attendees who are either foreign nationals or who represent a business incorporated in a foreign country must be escorted by a NAS Patuxent River Government employee from Gate 2 to the Executive Conference Center. Offerors are requested to identify any attendees who will need to be escorted. This identification may be made in the conference registration e-mail message which offerors will send to Mr. Gentry.
