This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The items to be purchased are: One helium mass spectrometer leak detector, one dedicated forpump, one roughing pump, one cart, and one high vacuum pump. Equipment should meet the following specifications: Helium Sensitivity- .0000000002 atm-cc/sec minimum detectable leak.; Internal Helium Response time- .5 second.; Calibration- Fully automatic tuning and calibration routine using an internal or external calibrated leak.; Leak Units- Atm cc/sec.; Zero Control- Selectable mode background offset.; Maxumum Pressure- 5 Torr.; Leak Display- LED bargraph and alphanumeric indication.; Pressure Display- Bargraph and alphanumeric indication.; Audio- Pitch controlled, dedicated volume control, programmable audio threshold.; Spectometer Tube- Thoriated Iridium ion source, dual filament ionization vacuum gauge.; High Vacuum Pump- Maintenance free MacroTorr.; Test Port Connection- 1.12 compression port fitting.; Rough/Fore Vacuum Pump- Dual stage rotary vane type.; Ambient Operating Temperature- 50 degrees F to 100 degrees F, Remote I/O- Serial RS-232, 9600 baud.; Portablitity- Test unit as supplied shall be cart mounted for mobility purposes.; Power Requirements- 108- 132V. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-13. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to SSC is required within 60 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by close of business September 15, 1999, and may be mailed or faxed to the specified point of contact and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1.
