Smith, Contracting Officer, (304) 625-2441 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for information technology services in support of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) 2000 System. The services shall include systems operations support, software applications support, preventive and corrective maintenance, and future enhancements. The NCIC 2000 System is an on-line information service provided to law enforcement and criminal justice agencies to provide a means for sharing criminal justice information. The System is a technologically complex system comprised of 26 different Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) hardware items, 106 COTS software items, and 450,000 lines of application code. The System was developed and integrated by Harris Corporation. Services shall be performed at the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division Complex located in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The resulting contract will be for one year with two six-month option periods and is scheduled to begin in February, 2000. The contract will be funded on a fiscal year basis and is contingent upon appropriation of funds for the fiscal year.
