SOL N00259-99-Q-0119 DUE 091099 POC Loida Toledo, tel: (619) 532-8122, Fax: (619)532-5596 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-99-Q-0119, is issued as a request for quotations(RFQ). Award will be made based on PRICE. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-12. This solicitation is issued for hotel lodging as needed for family members of patients receiving care at Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD). The contractor(s) providing lodging must be located within twenty (20) miles of NMCSD. The contractor shall provide a basic hotel room, with one king or two queen beds, at a rate established in the schedule of the contract, not to exceed the rate established in the Joint (DOD) Travel Regulations ($96.00 as of 27 July 99).The contractor shall provide shuttle service between the hotel and NMCSD, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, phone service, and any other incidentals shall be the responsibility of the guest and not the Government. The Government shall not be held liable for any damage to contractors' property due to negligent or intentional behavior of hotel guests. Due to the mission of NMCSD, the need for accommodations may be identified on very short notice. At this time, NMCSD will specify if one king or two queen beds will be required. The contractor shall make every effort to accommodate the needs of the Government under the terms and conditions of this contract. In addition, due to unforeseen changes in patient and surgical schedules, neither the Government nor potential guest shall be held responsible for cancellations. NMCSD shall make every attempt to promptly notify the Contractor when cancellations or changes are needed. The Facility will, on a quarterly basis, participate in random facility and room inspections by a Naval Medical Center San Diego Contracting Officer Representative (COR), to ensure the cleanliness and quality of the contracted facility, and conformance with Local and State Health and Fire Prevention regulations. Each guest stay shall be paid with the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (currently Mastercard). A valid card number shall be provided after contract award for all room charges. After checkout, contractor(s) shall provide a copy of guest charges to the Government Point of Contact at a facsimile number or email address to be provided after contract award. A summary report, to include each guest name; number of nights; and total for each guest, shall be provided to the Government Point of Contact for the prior month on the first business day of each month In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504, the Government reserves the right to issue multiple awards as a result of quotations received in response to this solicitation. Clin 0001: Hotel lodging, unit of issue: nights, qty: 1000 for the period 01 Oct 1999 thru 30 Sep 2000.
