Bureau of Reclamation desires to rent heavy construction equipment for an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity, not expected to exceed one year from date of the award. The equipment will be used periodically, depending on weather, spring runoff, and work area conditions, must meet applicable SAE, OSHA and Reclamation safety requirements. Applicable equipment operating manuals, current maintenance records shall accompany each piece of rented equipment. Contractor shall be responsible for routine maintenance on each piece of equipment during the rental period. Equipment must have an enclosed cab unless otherwise agreed upon prior to rental. Vendor must have an authorized repair service within 100 miles of the jobsite and equipment must be a maximum of 3 years old or newer. The job is located on the Provo River between Jordanelle Dam and Deer Creek Reservoir, near Heber City, Utah. The terrains consist of cobbles, boulders, trees and brush. Water will be encountered on most of the project. Specificsite of delivery for the equipment will be specified prior to delivery. Orders for specified equipment will be placed by phone call and delivery is to be made within one week of the order/request. Vendors have the right of refusal for requests of equipment if the required equipment is not available for the time frame required. Vendor will be notified by phone when equipment is no longer required. Equipment will be considered off rental status at time of phone call so stating. The minimum amount of the award is estimated to be $1,000 for one year. The maximum amount of the award is estimated to be $650,400 for one year. Multiple awards are expected to be made. The government has developed a schedule of its projected needs for the contract and will be evaluating offers based on this. Awards will be made to the lowest overall priced offer with equipment quality, condition and availability being considered. Order of precedence for placing orders will be: 1. Lowest priced equipment. 2.Availability of equipment for anticipated rental period. 3. Quality and condition of equipment offered for rental. If equipment is not available for the anticipated rental period, the vendor has the right of refusal and the order will then be placed with the next lowest priced vendor who has the equipment available in good condition. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following is a list of identified equipment which may be required: Cat 330 B L hydraulic excavator, or equal with 6.5M (21'4") boom, 3.9M (12'10") stick, 2.12 cubic yard (55") bucket and 850MM (34") track. Operating weight with specified boom, stick, track, and bucket is 34,660KG (76,300 LB). Cat 963C track loader, or equal with 2.45 cubic meter (3.2cubic yard) general purpose bucket with teeth, wide track -550MM (21.7" shoes). Operating weight with general purpose bucket plus teeth and segments is 19,020KG (41,939 LB). Cat D7R track-type tractor, or equal with a semi-universal blade capacity of 6.86 cubic meter, (8.98 cubic yard), 230 -- 240 HP engine. Operating weight is 24,600KG, (54,200 lb). Cat 320B L hydraulic excavator, or equal with 5.68M (18'7") boom. 2.9M (9'7") stick, 800MM (32") track, and 1.5 cubic yard (48") bucket with teeth. Operating weight is 20,620KG (45,400 LB). Cat D400 E articulated truck, or equal with 6 wheel drive, rated payload of 36.3 metric tons, (40 tons), and body capacity of 21.9 cubic meters (28.6 cubic yards). Quantity of two may be required. Cat 938 G wheel loader, or equal with bucket capacities of 2.1 to 2.8 cubic meters (2.75 to 3.65 cubic yards), and an operating weight of 13,030KG (28,731 LB). 2000 gallon water truck with front, rear and side sprayers and hose attachment.
