49 -- EQUIPMENT PARTS SOL 1PIR-1407-99 DUE 090399 POC Annette Johnson, Contracting Officer (202) 305-7280 Federal Prison Industries intends to enter into Firm Fixed Price award to sole source contract to Carlson Tool and Machine Company, 2300 Gary Lane, Geneva, IL 60134, for three (3) year with two (2) option years. This requirement is for various machine replacement parts for repairs on the Carlson Trimming Machine,Chisel Trimming and Staple-Set Machine. That include an annual maintenance agreement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is 1PI-R-1407-99, and solicitation items description are attached. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Government intends to solicitand negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.301-1 with Carlson Tool and Machine since they are the only known source which can provide the parts for the various machines, Carlson is the manufacturer for the machine listed. The award will result in a firm fixed price Requirements type contract. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination to: UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, P.O. Box 9000, Texas Highway 20, Anthony, NM-TX 79821 POC: Pat Miranda, Procurement Officer. Delivery: 30 calender days after receipt of order. Delivery minimum of (3,000 per order) and maximum of 10,000 per order. Maintenance agreement shall be in effect from date of award through the end of the contract.
