Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote(RFQ), solicitation number
F0561199T1817, offerors must comply with all instructions in FAR
52.212-1, Instructions to Offers -- Commercial Items with bid
submittal. This solicitation document and incorporated provision and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13.
This proposed purchase order has been set aside 100% for small
business. The Standard Industrial Classification number is 7622 and the
business size standard is 5.0 million. Women owned business are
encouraged to submit proposals. Contractor must be able to provide all
personnel, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, labor and
other items or services necessary for removal, repair and installation,
and follow-on maintenance of a Public Address System at Falcon Stadium,
Main Speaker Cluster, located at the United States Air Force Academy,
CO. Installation would begin on or about September 15, 1999, FOB
Destination. The Contractor is required to provide the following
equipment items or their equivalent: Quantity, Manufacture,
Description, Model; 14ea Altec Horns, MR42B; 2ea Altec Horns, MR64B;
1ea Altec Horn, MR94B; 14ea Speaker Grills, GRL42, 2ea Speaker Grills,
GRL 64, and 1ea Speaker Grill GRL94. The proposal shall include parts,
tools, equipment, personnel, plant, and labor necessary and required
associated in performance of this contract. All speaker horns are
fiberglass construction, horns to be fitted with speaker grills for
adequate protection of equipment being installed. Speaker Horns will be
mounted on top of scoreboard. Contractor is required to: 1. Remove
existing speaker horns, and grills. 2. Provide new wires and labels
printed in English with computerized print describing the point of
termination. 3. Test, equalize, adjust, and balance the entire Falcon
Stadium Main Speaker Cluster. 4. Provide properly trained technical
representatives on all phases of this project. 5. Must provide
manufacture(s) certification and other supporting documentation that
demonstrates contractor is an authorized dealer capable of repairing
and providing maintenance to equipment furnished and installed
(including existing Altec equipment). 6. Contractor shall be capable of
providing a one hour response time for outages occurring during the one
year warranty period. If substitute or equal speaker horns are being
proposed they must be compatible with existing equipment. All equipment
removed or unused shall be surrendered to the government attn: Public
Address Maintenance Workcenter, 10CS/SCMRP, (POC to be provided at time
of award) upon completion of the contract requirements. Note:
Contractor will be required to remove existing speaker horns on top of
scoreboard and retrofitted to accommodate new components. FAR 52.252-2

Visit ** Note: A site visit will be conducted on 08 Sep 99. Only one
site visit will be held. To insure adequate transportation in available
for all parties attending, reservations must be made not later than 03
Sep 99. Attendees should contact either the Contract Specialist or
Contracting Officer below. Attendees will assemble at the address
