The following amendment is a modification to the combined synopsis/solicitation for the Development of an Electronic Application System for the Peace Corps, posted on 23 August 1999. Any future questions should be submitted only in writing to the contracting officer via email at mrussell@peacecorps.gov. An attempt will be made to answer all questions fully. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this requirement is 7372 and the Federal Supply Code is 7030. This requirement is NOT a small business set-aside. This is a new requirement for the Peace Corps and there is no incumbent contractor. The original combined synopsis/solicitation announcement, in addition to the amendments issued on 26, 27 August 1999 and 9 September 1999, is the only solicitation to be released. The Peace Corps is contemplating a firm-fixed price contract for a period of one base year and four option years. There is no source list available. A copy of the Peace Corps application can be requested on-line at http://www.peacecorps.gov/volunteer/apply/download.html. The Peace Corps receives approximately 10,000 applications per year and there is no data that confirms how many potential applicants complete the application. The successful offeror will host the system that maintains the electronic application. A completed Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-3 OFFERORS REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS -- COMMERCIAL ITEMS, is required to be submitted with offeror's proposals.
