The project consists of crushing gravel from the Ecks Pit site located
on the Payette National Forest. The pit site is located in section 34
of Township 18 N., Range 2 East along Forest Development Road (FDR)
50307, Ecks Flat Road. Government-supplied source material can be
produced from the parent material in the pit. Contract will involve the
ripping of parent material from the pit site, crushing and stockpiling
of aggregate on site for future use. In conjunction with the
production of aggregate, testing by the contractor for compliance with
the grading specifications will be required. Contractor is responsible
for erosion control and fuel containment/spill plan if a volume of over
660 gallons is to be stored on site. Pit is located north of McCall,
Idaho on Highway 55 approx. 4 miles to the junction with FDR 50307.
Then west of FDR 50307 for approx. 1.5 miles to the Ecks Pit Site. Est.
start date is 9/15/99 with 30 calendar days for completion. See
