The SIC is 1541, General Contractors, $17 Million. The requirement is to replace horizontal tanks at Building 231, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. The work includes site work, demolition, concrete work, and minor mechanical, asbestos abatement, and electrical work to remove existing 2000 gallon skid mounted oxygen tanks and replace with three Government furnished tanks (two 1000 gallon nitrogen tanks and one 2000 gallon oxygen tank). The Government will have removed all the oxygen from the tanks prior to their removal. Note: This project is the preparatory work for future work that will be performed by the Government. Completion of the entire project will depend on the successful completion of this preparatory work. The solicitation will be issued on Friday, September 17, 1999.
