The District of Columbia Office of the Chief Financial Officer is issuing a solicitation for the services of a contractor to provide Fixed Assets and Physical Inventory for eleven agencies. The close of the fiscal year is September 30, 1999 for the District of Columbia. Seven agencies require the inventory to be complete and reports delivered no later than September 30, 1999. Two are requesting partial completion by September 30, 1999 with the remainder no later than October 15, 1999. Two agencies require completion by October 15, 1999. The contractor must be able to update the existing fixed assets database and inventory tracking system, FactPlus. Reports are required that include detailed results of the physical inventory of fixed assets valued at greater than $1,000 and must divide the assets by Capitalization assets, a value of equal to or greater than $5,000, and controllable assets with a value between $1,000 and $4,999. The contractor will bar code and tag all assets where applicable. The categories of assets include: automation/computer equipment; printers/scanners; vehicles; copy machines; heavy machinery; electronic equipment; and telecommunications equipment.
