Center, San Diego, intends to issue a competitive solicitation for
facilities maintenance, plant equipment maintenance, engineering and
logistics support, analyses support, methods and standards, training,
and production support services of a non-personal nature in support of
depot level aircraft and component re-work capabilities and integrated
logistics support (ILS). Responsibilities will be in support of the
weapon systems and components as well as their corresponding government
and contractor furnished equipment, powerplants, and support equipment
associated with Naval Aviation Depot North Island production processes
. The general tasks to be performed involve support of evaluations and
investigations, optimization/integration, configuration management,
maintenance plans/logistic support analysis/engineering support,
maintenance transition, master index of repairables, methods and
standards, phased support, plant maintenance, planned product
improvement, production support, readiness, spares/supply support,
supportability, technical data, training, and warehouse management.
This is a 100% small business set aside under SIC Code 8711 with a
small business size standard of $20M. The contract will be an IDIQ
level of effort CPFF type of contract for one base year and four option
years to begin approximately 1 Feb 2000. The level of effort is
estimated to be 201,760 hours per year. All work will be ordered by
task orders. All responsible small business sources may submit a
proposal which shall be considered by the agency. No paper copies of
the RFP will be available. The Government will release only ELECTRONIC
VERSIONS of the RFP. The RFP is expected to be released 15 days after
