The United States Air Force 38 Engineering Installation Wing requires the lease/service of 83 Numeric and 22 Alpha Numeric pagers in support of our engineers. The services required are as follows: Nationwide paging capability to include Hawaii and Alaska; Numeric and 1-way alpha numeric paging (alpha-numeric paging must be able to receive messages through the Internet); Voice mail (messaging); Personal toll free telephone number for each pager; Tone and Vibrator silent modes; 16 message memory with time tag; Delivery latency shall be 5 minutes maximum in Oklahoma City metro area and 10 minutes maximum while in other paging coverage areas. The resulting Purchase Order will contain the appropriate commercial and option clauses. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal developmentphase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
