The Department of the Interior's (DOI), Bureau of Land Management has reocurring requirements for cadastral survey monuments. To address the Bureau's reocurring requirements, an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) solicitation is proposed. Multiple awards may be made as a result of the subject solicitation. Award(s) will be made on a "best value" basis as a result of both price and past performance, using the FAR's commercial item procedures. Not to exceed prices shall be proposed under the schedule. Annual order(s) will be placed to achieve quantity discounts, however orders may also be placed anytime outside the annual buy(s). Order selection critera have been established in the solicitation. A price reduction clause may be used for individual orders per commercial practices. First article testing may be required prior to shipment of an individual order. Offerors are alerted that the monument specifications have been updated to improve functionality, eliminate any potential restrictive requirements, and address the new 20 -- requirement on the cap of the monuments for the new century. The Bureau does not currently have a prototype with these new specifications for offerors to review. The solicitation will be available under DOI's Electronic Commerce (EC) Web-site listed below on or about September 15, 1999. Offerors are encouraged to centrally register at this site so that they may electronically submit their offers. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal.
