22&LocID=251. E-MAIL: Joan Hanicak, joan.hanicak@uspto.gov. This
amendment is issued to provide answers/comments to additional questions
received for Solicitation 52-PAPT-9-01022. The questions and answer is
numbered in sequence, as follows: QUESTION 21: I am still unclear on
the specification of the printed tray liner for the jewel case. Will
the content printed on the tray liner be identical for all "masters" or
will each "master's" tray liner be unique? Will the PTO supply art work
for the tray liner(s) and each "master". Note: I use the word master in
quotes because the word "master" has an entirely different meaning in
the replication industry. You would be better served to refer to each
disc as a "title". Also confusing in the single DLT per title as each
title requires two DLTs. ANSWER 21: The main body of the tray liner
will be the same for all titles (what shows on the back of the jewel
case), but the two upturned edges of the tray liner (readable from the
edges of the jewel case) will have information specific to each title.
The successful contractor will print in four-color process the main
part of the tray liner for all discs (400 masters x 500 replicates =
200,000 tray liners) and then add the unique information for each title
on the edges in spot color (500 tray liners each). Tray liners will be
printed on one side only. The disc labels will differ from title to
title only in one line of text which provides the unique identifier
(same as on the edge of the tray liner). PTO will provide artwork for
the disc label and for the tray liner in Corel Draw 9 format on DOS
formatted zip discs. The contractor will be expected to modify art work
for each title with the unique identifiers. The answer to your "note"
above has been previously addressed in the Answer to Question 8. All
other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged. Posted
