A -- Regional Commercial Information Provider: The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA/BISNIS proposes to negotiate on a competitive basis for a contractor to provide BISNIS with trade leads, useful market updates, and practical industry and regional reporting on Sakhalin Island. Trade and investment leads will be used in BISNIS Trades & Tenders and Search for Partners publications, and will be collected using BISNIS application form. The contractor is expected to work with the local business community and media to ensure that the community is familiar with BISNIS programs. The contractor will also be expected to assist BISNIS trade specialists while traveling in the region to collect market intelligence and attend conferences, trade shows, etc. Contractor will be required to provide BISNIS with number of reports and products each month including: three viable Trades and Tenders leads; three viable Search for Partners leads, monthly commercial industry and regional reports, and a monthly synopsisof commercial news. BISNIS is the U.S. Government's commercial information clearinghouse for U.S. companies doing business in the NIS. A critical component of the program is BISNIS' ability to bring buyers and sellers together to facilitate successful business transactions; BISNIS' services have resulted in more than $2 billion worth of U.S. exports and overseas investments since opening in 1992. BISNIS products and services include the monthly BISNIS Bulletin newsletter, Search for Partners and, twice monthly Trades and Tenders and Search for Partners e-mail publications which are distributed to interested U.S. companies; industry and country specific information is forwarded by e-mail to interested U.S. companies.
