Commerce Business Daily Synopsis for NRA 99-HEDS-03, Research Opportunities in Space Life Sciences: Biomedical Research and Countermeasures Program NASA Research Announcement (NRA): The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Life Sciences Division solicits proposals for research investigations in support of Research Opportunities in Space Life Sciences. This announcement is specific to the Biomedical Research and Countermeasures Program within the Life Sciences Division. A separate solicitation for the Advanced Human Support Technology Program (NRA 99-HEDS-01) was released in January 1999, and a separate solicitation for the Gravitational Biology and Ecology Program (NRA 99-HEDS-02) will be released on September 7, 1999. Proposals requested by this announcement may be for ground-based research investigations, and limited types of space-flight experiments designed for the Shuttle middeck or for the early phase of utilization of the International Space Station. This solicitation is open to all categories of U.S. and, under certain conditions, foreign governmental and private sector organizations, agencies, and institutions. This solicitation will be available electronically via the Internet at http://peer1.idi.usra.edu/peer_review/nra/99_HEDS_03.html starting September 16, 1999. It will be open for the period through December 1; proposals may be submitted at any time throughout the period.
