K -- MODIFICATION OF AN/ARC-210 ELECTRONIC PROTECTION RADIO EQUIPMENT POC Sandy Strong, Contract Specialist, Fax (301) 757-5955 The Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209), intends to issue a modification under Contract N00019-98-C-0020 to Rockwell Collins Government Systems (RCGS) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The modification will be for procurement of supplies and technical services necessary to upgrade approximately 70 RT-1556/ARC's baseline to RT-1556A/ARC's baseline in support of the AV-8B aircraft, and approximately 57 RT-1747B/ARC's baseline to RT-1747C/ARC's baseline in support of the B-52 aircraft. The upgrade will bring these radios up to the baseline configuration that includes 8.33 kHz channel spacing capability. RCGS is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/ARC-210 Electronic Protection (EP) radio equipment, and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time frame.
