The D.C. Office of the Corporation Counsel intends to issue a deliver order against an existing Library of Congress/FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement to renew a subscription with Lexis-Nexis for use of their databases for the period from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. The services will be used by staff in four locations and includes desktop and Internet access by over 250 persons. Lexis-Nexis services contain an extensive array of on-line databases with nearly 60 million documents and offer a full range of Federal, state and local legal, legislative and regulatory information; company, financial, medical, news and current affairs information. Lexis-Nexis includes access to Federal, state and locas case law, administrative decisions, statutes and regulations; law reviews, specialty publications and public records, including locator databases for individuals and businesses; motor vehicle records for states and the District of Columbia; decisions of the D.C. Board of Contract Appeals and the D.C. Register. Lexis-Nexis provides daily updates to Shepard's Citations. Lexis-Nexis also maintains a private database for the D.C.
