301/619-3026, Contracting Officer The Naval Medical Logistics Command
has a requirement for immunoassay reagent for cocaine metabolite
benzoylecgonine (BZE) for use in the DoD military drug testing
laboratories. The immunological reagent shall be for the initial
(screen) testing for detection of the principle metabolites of cocaine,
namely BZE. The reagent must be sensitive to BZE when present at a
concentration of 150 ng/mL in urine. The reagent must be compatible for
use with the Olympus AU800 automated drug screening equipment, and must
be applicable without modification of the equipment. The reagent must
be compatible with optimal throughput of the AU800 and must not
interfere with the optimum performance of other immunoassay procedures
performed on the instrument. Immunoassay kits are medical devices and
must have clearance from the FDA to be marketed. Only written requests
