The National Weather Service (NWS) is soliciting quotes from qualified offerors to provide snow plowing, snow removal, sanding and salting services for its location at One Weather Lane, Gray, Maine. Services to be provided for snow occurrences of two (2) or more inches, and for ice accumulation on roads, parking lot and sidewalks. The NWS operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides critical public safety services. The period of performance will be from October 15, 1999 through October 14, 2000; there will be four option years with an ending date of October 14, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be honored by the agency. Telephone requests will not be honored. Fax requests are acceptable at (757) 441-3786.
