SUBJECT: Z_REPAIR/REPLACE SERVICE DRIVE PAVEMENT, DIA (BXUR 97-1172) REPAIR FRONT ENTRANCE PAVEMENT, DIA (BXUR 98-1520) SOL: F49642-99-0120 POC: WILLIAM DAVIS, PH: 202-767-7963 DESC: The Air Force intends to solicit proposals for a firm-fixed price contract for Project Number BXUR 97-1172, Repair/Replace Service Drive Pavement, DIA and Project Number BXUR 98-1520, Repair Front Entrance Pavement, DIA. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Furnish all labor, equipment and material to complete these two projects. Project Number BXUR 97-1172 includes the rehabilitation of various pavements at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). This rehabilitation includes providing timber railroad crossing _C_, pedestrian crossings and sidewalks, necessary grading, earthwork, site excavation, backfill, compaction, and demolition, providing milling and resurfacing operations of existing asphalt pavement, removing curbs, providing full depth pavement replacement of existing asphalt and concrete pavement, providing for excavation and removal of unsuitable soils and concrete obstructions and the installation of backfill. Project Number BXUR 98-1520 includes the repair of front entrance pavements at DIA. This repair includes providing milling and resurfacing operations of existing asphalt pavements, removing curbs or a combination of curb and gutter and replacing with the same, providing parking lot island underdrain system, and providing top soil, seeding and sodding on areas indicated. The performance period is 220 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1611. Project value is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a competitive best-value solicitation in which offeror_s past performance and price will receive equal consideration.
