This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F64133-99-R0023, and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Contractors are asked to provide a lump sum proposal to provide all parts, labor, material, equipment and transportation to repair cracks, resurface and paint the base swimming pool, Building (bldg) 1620, Andersen AFB, Guam. Performance period for this solicitation shall be 60 days from contract award date. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect as of Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This requirement is a total Small Business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8999, and the small business size standard is $5.0 mil. The solicitation will be written in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 for Acquisition of Commercial Items. A site visit is scheduled for 13 Sep 99 at 1030 a.m. at the base swimming pool, bldg 1620. All prospective bidders will meet at the Contracting Office, bldg 17000, prior to proceeding to the site location. Paragraph (b) is amended as follows: Offerors are required to submit a signed SF 1449 along with their proposals. Paragraph (b)(10) is amended as follows: Past performance information is included as an evaluation factor. Offers shall submit past performance information to include 3 recent and relevant contracts for the same items. Include short description, contract no. and point of contact.
