70 -- INTEGRATION OF EQUIPMENT SOL RFQ 618-175-99 DUE 091799 POC Mavis Nelson 612-725-2189 Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (1) the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Hewlett-Packard Company, Phoenix, Arizona to provide labor and material for CareVue device interface consulting and interface engine hardware with government-owned Marquette Patient Monitoring System. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued, but reference number RFQ 618-175-99 is assigned. This solicitaiton document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 99-13. SIC Code 7373, size standard of $18 million in revenues (3 years). Provide one (1) H1374A Critical Care Custom Services related to HP's Critical Care products and systems; provide one (1) H8809AA Hardware Procurement for System Interfacing Solution, Windows NT Solution (Product ID #301889.0271); and labor to interface existing HP CareVue System to government-owned Marquette brand Patient Bedside Monitoring equipment; include project management, technical consulting, application consulting, and education needed to assist in the implementation of monitoring interface (support pricing is not included). Deliver all within 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice of Award/Notice to Proceed. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 17, 1999. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interests received on or before September 17, 1999 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
