One (1) BAIRD OneSpark Charge Injection Device (CID) Solid State Spectrometer System as detailed below: 1. Spectrograph: The emission spectrograph shall have the following minimum capabilities: a. Nitrogen or argon purged optical path with an echelle grating and prism cross-disperser to produce a two-dimensional emission spectrum. b. A wavelength range of 174-800nm. c. A minimum resolution of 0.004nm at a wavelength of 200nm and 0.008nm at a wavelength of 400nm. d. Software controlled HR-400 Source Unit capable of operating at 200 or 400 Hz. e. Charge Injection Device (CID) solid state detector system capable of operating in both Random Access Integration (RAI) and Time Domain Spectroscopy (TDS) modes. f. Detector cooling unit to maintain low detector dark current. g. Ability to conduct simultaneous background corrections. h. Ability to simultaneous analyze all element in a sample. i. Ability to simultaneously conduct background data immediately adjacent to the analytical wavelengths of interest. j. Ability to create a complete spectral image over the wavelength range of the spectrograph, allowing the visual identification of the specific location of elements in a sample. 2. Software: System control and storage of generated data shall be accomplished through a PC interface. Control software shall be Microsoft Windows 98 compatible and shall as a minimum be capable of the following: a. Performs quantitative analyses at any wavelength. b. Automatic or manual selection of background points. c. Controls gas flow and spark-source parameters. d. Utilizes unlimited number of points per calibration curve. e. Simultaneously corrects the entire emission spectrum of a sample. f. Provides full wavelength and identification tools. g. Allows identification of spectral interference lines and interelement corrections. h. Produces data output compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. 3. Computer Data System: The emission spectrograph system shall include a computer data system with the following minimum requirements: Motherboard, Processor, Cache, Memory, Hard Drive, CD-ROM, Video Controller, Keyboard, Mouse, Sound, Speakers, Ports, O/S, Printer, Monitor, 66MHz, 300MHz (Intel Pentium Celeron), 128KB minimum, 32MB SDRAM, 4.3GB, 32X, 4MB SGRAM, Standard Windows 95/98 104 Keys, 2 Buttons PS/2, SoundBlaster 16 Compatible, 2 Speakers, 2 Serial, 1 Parallel, Windows 98 CD, 1 Printer, 17" color. 4. Voltage Regulator: The emission spectrograph system shall be provided with a voltage regulator capable of maintaining the constant voltage necessary for accurate, repeatable analysis. 5. Calibration: Calibration shall be provided for three alloy sets. The alloy sets shall consist of three different matrices: Aluminum, iron, and nickel. 6. Installation, Training, and Warranty: The purchase shall include installation, minimum one-year warranty, and on-site training for two operators at BAIRD's training facility, Franklin, MA. 7. Delivery: Delivery shall be made to the following address not to exceed 120 days from receipt of order: U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, AMSAM-RD-PS-CM, Bldg. 7103, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898.
