material and equipment necessary to remove and replace a motor control
center. The motor control center is used at a pump station and the
main purpose is for operation of three vertical turbine pumps. Two of
the pump motors are 350 horsepower and one is 200 horsepower. The
project is located at the Benton Lake National Wildlife Refuge pumping
plant, near Power, Montana, approximately 25 miles northwest of Great
Falls, MT. The contractor will have complete access to all electrical
equipment as required. Any work involved with the electrical service
entrance shall be coordinated with the Montana Power Company. The
following special conditions will apply: Due to the water needs of the
refuge, it is required that the pump station remain operational during
certain times of the year. Based on this, it is required that the
contractor not start work prior to November 8, 1999. It is also
required that the contractor shall have all work completed no later
than March 31, 2000. Water will not be available at the pump station
until the middle of March, 2000. The final inspection and testing of
the pump station controls and motor starters will have to take place
during the last two weeks of March. Davis-Bacon payrolls are required.
The Government Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. This project
is open to both large and small businesses. The Request for Quotation
